It is a feast for all the senses. The smoky smells of barbecue sauce on ribs fill the air at Heritage Park in Barrie, while the local craft brewing companies serve up theit popular and unconventional beer.
The Barrie Craft Beer and BBQ Festival was a hit this weekend for all who came down to sample the fares. Craig Stevens from Downtown Barrie said the event is in its 17th year, and there is nothing slowing down this popular weekend.
“These guys take bbq very seriously. The food is cooked for 10 hours and the sauce is just right.”
Sarah and Apryl’s picks:
Sarah skipped the main meal and went straight to dessert, trying out Fire and Ice and the unbelievable Unicorn Donut. Fire and Ice is located on Barrie.
Apryl loves the blooming onion but if she had to choose a rib place, Camp 31 did it for her.
